十月一香港祈禱日起源於2010年，正當香港第六屆全球祈禱日結束，神感動香港不同區的牧者舉行全城合一禱告。2016年起舉辦全城祈禱聚會，不分宗派，招聚基督信徒每年一次聚集。

The fifth 1st October Hong Kong Day of Prayer has come to an end successfully. Appreciation goes to all the brothers and sisters who eagerly participated and helped! Our prayer altar extended from the the main arena to the sea, land and the sky (Including worship on the sea, mountain prayer walk and helicopter as well as individual families (Family Altar)! The theme this year was “God's glory descending on the land!” At 6pm, Psalm 24 was proclaimed and everyone welcomed the Lord of Hosts to come to Hong Kong excitedly! Although prayer day has ended, the fire of prayer and worship continue to burn unceasingly. May god's glory continue to overwhelm Hong Kong and all the earth. God is to be praised and worshiped; His name lasts forever. May God also protect, reinforce and take care of every brother and sister through the Holy Spirit. Thankyou God! The theme is “Raising Up Young Generations for Global Missions”. At the main venue – Noah’s Ark in Ma Wan, there will be 12 hours of unceasing prayer and worship from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. to offer a fragrant offering to God. In addition to prayer sessions at the main venue, there will also be a large variety of prayer activities on that day for brothers and sisters to join.
