PRAYERS OF 40-DAY FAST & PRAY
— GUIDELINE (22/8-30/9/2026)
I. Introduction
-
To prepare for “October 1st Hong Kong Day of Prayer” and prayer in unity, you are cordially invited to join 40 days of fasting and prayer (22/8-30/9). You may choose your own way of fasting (e.g. vegetarian diet, liquid diet, fasting for 1 or 2 meals) and regularly set aside some time to pray extensively in a quiet place according to below prayers. Through the 40 days of fasting and prayer, let us enter an amazing prayer journey to understand God’s will and work with God! (I) Daily Prayer Directions:
Five Key Prayers
1. Pray for the Nation – Pray for the revival of your own nation and the revival of other nations.
2. Pray for the Family – Pray for the salvation of your family and for the revival of your family.
3. Pray for Children and Youth – Pray for other children and youth, and for the problems of children and youth in your own city.
4. Pray for the Church and its leaders.
5. Pray for urgent prayer requests and urgent needs.
(II) Proclaim the name of God wherever you are
Proclaim the name of God 1. “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”(Isaiah 6:3b) 2. “Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations.[a]4 Who will not fear you, Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.” (Rev 15:3b-4) 3. No one is like you, LORD; you are great, and your name is mighty in power.7 Who should not fear you, King of the nations? This is your due. Among all the wise leaders of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is no one like you. (Jer 10:6-7) 4. “Stand up and praise the LORD your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting.[a]”“Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. 6 You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you. (Neh 9:5b-6) 5. “Praise be to you, LORD, the God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.11 Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.12 Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.13 Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.(1 Ch 29:10b-13) 6. “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his.21 He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.22 He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. (Dan 2:20b-22) 7. Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. 2 For the LORD Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth. (Psm47:1-2) 8. All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD,and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,28 for dominion belongs to the LORD and he rules over the nations. (Psm 22:27-28) 9. “The days are coming,” declares the LORD,“when I will raise up for David[a] a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land. In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteous Savior. (Jer 23:5-6) 10. Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit,[a] was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory. (1 Ti 3:16) 11. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. (1Jn 5:20) 12. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. (Heb 1:3) 13. Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phl 2:9-11) 14. “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying: “Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!” (Rev 7:10b-12) 15. The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried: “Amen, Hallelujah!” 5 Then a voice came from the throne, saying: “Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both great and small!”6 Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! (III) Pray for church, world situation, personal and next generation
A. For the Church 1. Confess and repent for the lack of unity in the Church Confess and repent that church co-workers hold firmly to their own opinions and fail to reach consensus; that there is internal rivalry within the church; and that different churches fail to work together with one heart and share resources. Ask the Lord to prevent us from being arrogant, and instead have the same mindset as Christ Jesus, working together to advance the expansion of God's Kingdom. 2. Pray for Church unity Ask the Lord to help us let go of prejudices, value others above ourselves, and love one another deeply, so that people will recognize us as the Lord’s disciples and build up Christ's Church in unity and love. B. Pray for the world situation 3. Pray for regions experiencing war around the world Ask the Lord to remember those in authority, that they may not look only to their own interests, but prioritize the lives and well-being of the people. May nations live together in peace. Ask the Lord to help bring an end to war. As conflicts grow increasingly fierce, ask the Lord to lead us to pray more for those in authority, so that warfare and slaughter may be minimized, and that we may pray more urgently for the salvation of many. 4. Pray for extreme weather worldwide Extreme weather—whether extreme heat, floods, earthquakes, or volcanic eruptions—has cost human lives. Ask the Lord to forgive us for our destruction of the environment and our failure to properly protect the Earth and its ecosystems. 5. Global economic turmoil AI is replacing a vast amount of human resources, leaving many unemployed. Ask the Lord to help us strive to adapt, and help us not to worry: "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" May we experience His abundant provision in the Lord. C. Personal aspects 6. Personal spiritual life Build up personal devotional lives, maintaining regular Bible reading and prayer. 7. Pray for the salvation of all people Lord, help us to pray more urgently for the salvation of all people. Strengthen our burden to spread the Gospel, especially remembering missionaries—protect them so they may safely reach unreached areas, so that the Gospel may be spread to all nations until the end comes. 8. Pray for those who have stopped gathering for a long time May Christians who have strayed and stopped gathering return to the flock at an early date. God indeed needs us to complement and support one another. Ask the Lord to raise up brothers and sisters not to give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but to encourage one another. 9. Personal financial wisdom May we not be misled by scams. At the same time, ask the Lord to grant us wisdom in managing finances, so that we do not become proud because of wealth—lest we disown the Lord—nor fall into extreme poverty—lest we steal and dishonor the name of the Lord. D. The next generation and intergenerational walk 10. Pray for the next generation's marriage Due to political, economic, and the one-or-two-child background, our next generation faces heavy family burdens and financial pressure in supporting parents, children's education, etc., making them afraid to marry, and afraid to have children even after marriage. Ask the Lord to grant us God’s perspective in viewing marriage: "A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." "It is not good for man to be alone; I will make a helper suitable for him." Ask the Lord to grant that our next generation, whether in marriage or remaining single, may live in the light of loving God and loving others, so that whether having a family or being single, we can love the Lord, be a blessing to others, and become good spiritual parents. 11. Intergenerational walk Seniors supporting the younger generation, and the young respecting the elders. May the old and the young support each other so that the Kingdom of God continues to expand.

親愛的天父： 今天祢的旨意仍然行在地上，如同行在天上。我父作事直到如今。此時此刻我們就回應祢的呼召，面對前面的大山，不避艱險不畏困難，靠着祢的力量往前行，在我們已建立的基礎上，用我們鍛練好的才能，整裝待發。願祢的兒女天天捨己，背起自己的十字架來跟隨祢。這是作主門徒的意義，和祢同負一軛。我們願在凡事上作神百般恩賜的好管家，包括我們的生命、時間、機會、才幹、資源。願全地華人信徒，在自己的家庭、職場、校園、宣教工場，發光發熱。 此刻我們站在家庭、教會和工場的破口，向你舉手，儆醒守望。昔日祢如何復興英國教會，掀起宣教的熱潮，差派他們往全地（包括中國）去，報佳音、傳喜信，建立教會。這世紀祢依然差派興起的華人教會門徒往西歐收割已熟透的莊稼，這呼召比任何時代都迫切。因為萬物的結局近了！祢要我們儆醒禱告。 願祢的話語膏我們，祢的話在哪裏，那裏就有光，黑暗消聲匿跡。祢的恩言、良言，不徒然返回，宣告都在我們耳中心中烙印，石心碎裂，賜下肉心！能結實三十倍、六十倍、一百信！願聖經的字句發出果效，因著飢渴慕義的心，天國要臨到各人們當中。奉耶穌得勝的名阿們！
黑暗消聲匿跡
「受造之物都要挪去，使那不被震動的常存。外邦喧嚷，列國動搖，神發聲，地便溶化。」（來12:27,詩46:6） 親愛的天父： 西藏、印泊爾邊境的吉隆口岸，三天前，無任何預警、跡象，喜馬拉雅山千年冰川崩潰，夾巨石經河道衝向下遊，多座橋樑瞬間斷裂，村莊淹沒。天父，氣候變遷的災難，一齣接一齣。全球暖化帶來肆虐各地的山火、叢林野火。海面上升使吐瓦魯島國九環礁消失了兩個。地球升溫造成席捲而至四十幾度熱浪，令歐洲熱死近一萬人。 主啊！我們要在祢面前認罪，因為地球資源幾乎已被人類的欲望消耗殆盡。樂園或地獄的形成，全在人類一念之間。而列國爭戰不休，互相制裁，經濟不景，難民日增。天災加上人禍，饑荒似乎不可避免。天父！祢喜悅行義記念祢道的人。祢曾發怒，我們仍然犯罪。我們還能得救嗎？我們都像葉子漸漸枯乾，我們的罪孽好像風把我們吹去。天父！願祢顧念那些虛心痛悔因祢話語而戰兢的人。願祢的國臨記念那些未曾向巴力屈膝的百姓，願他們的代禱呼求進入祢的耳中，並持續照神祢所喜悅的，用虔誠敬畏的心事奉祢。神啊！祢是烈火！用祢的話語煉淨我們！奉耶穌得勝的名阿們！
為受災地區祈禱
我一心尋求了你，求你不要叫我偏離你的命令。（詩119:10） 親愛的天父： 世界各地有極端暴雨洪災，過去一年，單中國各地頻繁因極端氣候引發暴雨、山崩與泥石流，造成嚴重傷亡。中尼接壤的喜馬拉雅山區發生巨型冰岩雪崩，引發泥石硫，造成多人死亡，失蹤，數以萬計兒童失學，與家人失散和失聯。主阿！求你施展你的大能拯救他們的生命和靈魂，你回來的日子近。主說：你們要趁着白天多作主工祢的道卻永遠長存！求你加力量所有屬祢的兒女作鹽作光。奉耶穌得勝的名阿們！
為各地災害祈禱
天父：我們稱謝祢的慈愛和信實！祢口所出的話，果然不徒然返回，卻要成就祢所喜悅的，在祢差去成就的事上，必然亨通。為回應祢的呼召願意在祢話語上深耕，並活出生命的見證的人祈禱，他們必然在各自的家庭、職場中為祢發光發熱！天父！看到祢差聖靈在人心裏動了善工！榮耀歸祢！平安歸給祢所差的僕人使女！奉主耶穌得勝的名！阿們！
為神發光發熱
「我心裏湧出美辭，我論到我為王作的事，我的舌頭是快手筆。」（詩45:1） 親愛的天父： 我們把身體當作活祭獻給祢，因為這是聖潔的，祢所喜悅的。我們從頭頂到腳掌都屬於祢。或思或想或言或行，都是祢的靈在我們裏頭運行。我們不被這世界所模塑，乃是被祢的話和聖靈所更新，一天比一天更像基督。我們要向各國說祝福的話。只有祝福，沒有咒詛。昔日祢的話如何如雨雪從天而降，滋養他們的文化土壤，今日祢的話依然要滋養乾涸的人心土壤。願祢的子民，從王公貴族到平民百姓，都不忘記祢的法則，甘心領受祢的訓誨。尋找他如尋找銀子，搜求他如搜求隱藏的珍寶。他們當曉得耶和華祢是神，他們是祢造的，也是屬祢的。他們是祢的民，也是祢草場的羊。他們要聽到祢召聚的聲音，赴神聖之約！耶和華坐著為王，公平公義是祢寶座的根基。全地當聽主聲！給我們聆聽的耳，受教的心。賜福奉主名聚會的地方，信息能打動人心，使人自心坎湧出美辭， 有活水的江河流淌在群眾之間。奉耶穌基督得勝的名阿們
甘心領受訓誨
親愛的天父： 願主基督的國度臨到萬族萬民！耶和華作王，萬民當戰抖！我們當尊崇耶和華我們的神！願祢的聖民稱頌祢，傳說祢國的榮耀，談論祢的大能，好叫世人知道祢大能的作為，並祢國度威嚴的榮耀。求主賜福執政掌權者，能為主所用，得着祢所賜的聰明智慧，行公義，好憐憫，以基督精神治國。使公職人員在體恤民情、處理貧富關係的矛盾中，滿有策略。 親愛的天父！祢興起了基督教文字工作者，祢藉文宣團差遣祢的話如雨雪滋潤地土人心，醫好悲傷的，報告被擄的得釋放，被囚的出監牢。容祢的百姓面對經濟不景時，仍能守望相助，看到出路。因祢善待萬民，祢的恩慈覆庇祢一切所造的。父啊！願祢的國臨在伯明罕，向祢叩門的，祢必開門；尋找的，必尋見；祈求的，就得著。奉耶穌得勝的名，阿們！
文字宣教
「我喜悅祢的法度，要在祢的律例中自樂。」（詩119:14-16） 親愛的天父： 我們願成為一棵栽在溪水旁按時結果的樹。我們因喜愛祢的律法，我們的心思必不從惡人的計謀，我們的腳必不站罪人的道路，再疲乏也絕不坐褻慢人的座位。（詩1:1-3）祝福屬祢的子民百姓也成為一棵滿結義果的樹，拒絕隨從惡人的計謀。他們的腳步遠離罪人的道路，也不羨慕褻慢人的座位。他們誓要與祢的國度有份。他們知道有一條路人以為正，致終成為死亡之路。 天父：懇求祢在這些年間復興祢的作為，使這城市居民的心意回轉，與祢和好，如兒女的心轉向父親。祢的臉必發光，施展袮的大能，他們便要得救。（詩80:3） 神啊祢是個靈，所以敬拜祢的必須用心靈和誠實敬拜祢。（約4:24）是的我們要在真理和聖靈裏敬拜祢。真理必叫我們得以自由，聖靈必叫我們得自由。 𧶽福今天普天之下凡奉祢的名聚集敬拜的地方，祢的話祢的福音必更新我們的生命和生活。奉耶穌得勝的名阿們。
心靈誠實敬拜主
「各樣美善的恩賜和各樣全備的賞賜都是從上頭的，從眾光之父那裏降下來的；在他並沒有改變，也沒有轉動的影兒。（雅1:17） 親愛的天父： 我們的生命從祢而來，我們的肺腑都是祢造的。我們要稱謝祢，因為我們受造奇妙可畏。每個生命都帶着祢賞賜的特別禮物到這個世界上來，容我們好好把握這一趟人生之旅，活出祢造我們的原意美意。願這個世界因我們的存在更加美好。當我們迎向眾光之父，黑暗就拋在背後。你的話就是我們腳前的燈，路上的光。願我們的城憎惡詭詐的天平，喜悅公平的法碼；不與惡人同謀，樂意與義人同行。願我們這個城市因正直人的祝福被高舉，撒義種而得實在果效。奉耶穌得勝的名阿們！
為城市求正直
有人靠車，有人靠馬，但我們要提到耶和華我們神的名。詩20:7 天父：祢是自有永有的神！普天下當向祢歡呼！當樂意事奉祢，當來向祢歌唱！我們理當曉得祢是神！我們是祢造的，也是屬祢的。我們是祢的民，也是祢草場的羊。主啊！祢的名在全地何其美！祢的名是應當稱頌的。祢應許凡求告主名的，必然得救！基督誠然死了葬了又活了，直活到永永遠遠！祂已作王，勝過死亡和掌死權的魔鬼！流淚撒種的，都歡呼收割。而所有奉差遣出去撒種的，未來也必歡歡樂樂的帶禾捆回來。父啊我們的城市祈平安，求祢的憐憫！這城有黃、賭、毒、尋死的，父啊！願祢的救恩臨在他們，祢的話是所有抑鬱失業人口腳前的燈，路上的光！藉着神的應許跳過敵軍所設一切阻攔的牆垣！奉耶穌得勝的名阿們！
為黃賭毒尋死的祈禱
「神啊！你的慈愛何其寶貴，世人投靠在你翅膀的蔭下。他們必因你殿裏的肥甘得以飽足，你也必叫他們喝你樂河的水。」詩36:7-8 慈愛的天父： 從日出之地到日落之處，祢的名是應當稱頌的。雖然因為氣候變遷，有些地區被熱浪席捲，人們渴想在雪地打滾。而印尼因強烈地震罹難百人，台灣南部城巿為水患所苦。在英國有消息近日有青壯年多人自殺，其中包括香港移民。天父！這些措施手不及的新聞，令人無法有片刻喘息啊，我一一帶到祢的施恩座。主日城市的教堂仍然打開, 我1網們依然相信祢掌管萬有，相信祢信實依然。相信在祢那裏有生命的源頭，在祢的光中我們必得見光。願祢眷顧那些陷在患難中的人，只要日頭依舊從東方升起，我們依舊不住禱告。願祢的國降臨在那些面臨經濟困境、失業的人。祢的話正散佈在無孔不入的媒體中，願他們能看到光，觸碰到祢的福音。賜福生活在各地的區居民，願意投靠在祢翅膀的䕃下。奉耶穌的名阿們！
身在困境的人
「祢的話是我腳前的燈、路上的光。」（詩129:105） 親愛的天父：祢話語的膏油澆在祢的眾兒女！祢必以祢的膀臂四面環繞他們！他們並不是與屬血氣的爭戰，乃是與空中屬靈氣的惡魔爭戰。他們全都穿戴神所賜的全幅軍裝！以真理束腰，以公義護心鏡遮胸，穿上平安的福音鞋，以信德為藤牌，戴上救恩的頭盔，舉起聖靈的寶劍，就是祢的話！天父！賜下愛與合一的靈並口才！釋放祢話語的大能！讓所有來到教會的信徒、慕道友，都飽得滋養！奉耶穌得勝的名阿們！

(III) Praying for nations 2025
⭐Syria Lanka 1. May the Holy Spirit descend upon Sri Lanka, bringing revival throughout the land. 2. May the influence of idolatry and witchcraft be broken. May alcoholism, suicide, violence, and slavery be resolved. 3. May poverty, child labor, child marriage, and child abuse be addressed. (12% of children are forced to marry before the age of 18.) 4. May the physical, mental, and spiritual wounds of the people after the civil war be healed. May peace prevail and political strife cease. 5. May the Lord grant resources to manifest His glory in these challenging times, especially in the face of national economic difficulties caused by bankruptcy. 6. May Sri Lankan church leaders and youth be raised up, and may believers grow in faith and spiritual growth in the Lord during these challenging times.
⭐Israel 1. That the Holy Spirit upon Israel, bringing revival throughout the land. 2. That God-given peace prevail throughout Jerusalem. 3. That Jews and Arabs in Israel be reconciled and souls saved. 4. That more and more Jews will believe that Jesus is the Messiah. 5. Pray for children who suffer from poverty and are victims of cultural, racial, and religious conflict. 6. Pray for the younger generation, that the Lord may arise and enable them to encounter Jesus Christ.
🙏Serbia Economy: 1. Local residents have very low incomes. It's understood that a local doctor earns only around 13,000 yuan a month, yet prices are rising. As a result, some locals are considering relocating to more affluent Western European countries. Pray that Heavenly Father will protect the local economy, ensuring that residents have sufficient income to meet their daily expenses. 2. Low incomes have also impacted church offerings, forcing many pastors to work part-time or even accept financial assistance from other organizations to make ends meet. We are grateful for the faithfulness of these pastors, and pray that Heavenly Father will fully provide for their needs.
⭐Hong Kong 1. Pray that the Holy Spirit descend upon Hong Kong, bringing revival to the land. 2. Pray that complete peace be restored in Hong Kong, and that the righteousness and healing of God's Kingdom be brought here. 3. Pray for Christian schools, hospitals, and community organizations, so that they can serve and reach more people. 4. Pray that the next generation will be raised up to become teachers, leaders, pastors, and prophets for the nation. 5. Pray that the issue of child abuse will be addressed, and that the Lord will grant the church the wisdom and response to adapt. 6. Pray that young people pursuing worldly pleasures will turn to Him, so that worldly values will no longer hold them captive. Blessings Hong Kong - Prayer Requests 1. Pray that the Holy Spirit descend upon Hong Kong, bringing revival to the land. 2. Pray that complete peace be restored in Hong Kong, and that the righteousness and healing of God's Kingdom be brought here. 3. Pray for Christian schools, hospitals, and community organizations, so that they can serve and reach more people. 4. Pray that the next generation will be raised up to become teachers, leaders, pastors, and prophets for the nation. 5. Pray that the issue of child abuse will be addressed, and that the Lord will grant the church the wisdom and response to adapt. 6. Pray that young people pursuing worldly pleasures will turn to Him, so that worldly values will no longer hold them captive.
🙏China 1. Pray for the healthy growth and education of China's youth. 2. Pray for the clean and honest dissemination of information online in China. 3. Pray for those who practice totem worship and popular idol worship, that they may turn back to the true God.
🙏Croatia Politics: 1. The Yugoslav War of the 1990s created ethnic hatred with neighboring countries, which continues to be resented by them. Pray that the people of all nations will put aside their hatred and treat each other with love. 2. Violent anti-government demonstrations have recently taken place in the region. Pray that the Father will resolve this conflict, grant local officials a love for God and people, and wisdom in governance, and grant the people a heart of obedience.
🙏Taiwan 1. Pray for the pastors and leaders of Taiwan's churches, asking God to humble them and use their resources to bless God's kingdom. 2. Pray for the relationships of pastors and leaders in Taiwan, asking them to heal wounded and broken relationships, forgive, be renewed, and become vessels of holiness. 3. Pray for all churches in Taiwan, asking them to truly surrender to Christ, walk together, and become one. 4. Pray for the Lord's mercy on churches that have lost their influence in business, media, education, the arts, and families. Forgive us for our unwillingness to bravely step forward and help us truly enter the world as salt and light, living out the life and influence of Jesus Christ. 5. Pray for the churches in Taiwan that have lost their first love. Pray that they will truly obey the guidance of the Holy Spirit, be led by Him, and courageously preach the gospel of the Kingdom, fulfilling the Great Commission entrusted by the Lord Jesus. Pray that God will ignite the first love of the churches in Taiwan, grant us the Holy Spirit to fill us daily, and use us to be witnesses that glorify Jesus and respond to the Father's call.
🙏the UAE: 1. Pray that God would intervene in the UAE's gold trade, preventing it from becoming a channel for money laundering and improving the conditions of those suffering there. 2. Pray that God would inspire the people of the UAE to understand the gospel and long for God's Kingdom. Pray that foreign Christians living there would have opportunities to share the gospel, making the UAE a light and blessing to the region. 3. Pray that the government would expedite the revision of gold trade regulations to prevent money laundering and prevent the gold market from becoming a hotbed of crime. 4.
